Singapore, May 4, 2023 – TotalEnergies Marine Fuels is announced as the official Host Partner of this year’s Annual LNG Bunkering and Future Fuels Global Summit, which takes place between May 23rd and 25th at the Amsterdam Expo Centre.
2023 marks the 10th year of this growing global event and it promises to be the biggest and best yet, with this year’s theme expanding beyond LNG to reflect biofuels and wider future fuels, reflecting shipping’s developing transition to a wider portfolio of marine fuel solutions.
Our decision to take the Host Sponsor lead for the event is a reflection of our strategic focus to develop lower-carbon marine fuels and to support the decarbonization of the global marine fuels industry. These solutions include LNG, bio-LNG, advanced biofuels and the e-fuels of the future, such as e-methanol and e-ammonia.
Over the past two years, we have conducted over 110 LNG bunkering operations in Europe via our vessels - Gas Agility in Rotterdam and the Gas Vitality in Marseille. We will also have the Brassavola delivering LNG to receiving vessels at the Port of Singapore later this year. In parallel, we are also actively exploring opportunities to develop LNG bunkering hubs in other key ports.
Building on these developments, we are delighted to introduce a new commercial solution through our biofuel activity, which has now gone live in Singapore, seeing us offer up to B24biofuels as a drop-in solution to reduce our shipping customers’ greenhouse gas emissions. Biofuel trials are also underway as we look to expand our biofuel offers to our customers across Europe and beyond.
Members of the Senior Management Team, including Louise Tricoire, our Vice President; Denis Bonhomme, Global Sales and Business Development Director and Dahlia Rifai, Head of LNG Bunkering; will be speaking at the event. Louise will officially open the conference, while Denis and Dhalia will deliver the keynote address on Day One.
LNG Bunkering and Future Fuels Global Summit Event Director, Edward Boyle, welcomed the host partnership with TotalEnergies Marine Fuels.
“TotalEnergies Marine Fuels has already added value to the event through its proactivity and true partnership approach in contributing to the shape of the event and we are delighted to have them onboard,” said Boyle.
“We are marking our first decade by delivering the world’s most established LNG Bunkering gathering with this year incorporating discussions around wider future fuels. This is our 10th edition and our biggest event to date, with discussions focusing on LNG, BIO/Synthetic/E-LNG and the early development of Methanol, Ammonia and Hydrogen delivered and facilitated by a truly global set of expert speakers.
“As the market-leading event for those committed to the decarbonization of the global maritime industry, the Summit is renowned for connecting the entire industry; ship owners/operators, ports, terminals, O&G providers, financiers, classification societies, engineers and more. With this year’s event shaping up to achieve its highest attendance yet, we look forward to delivering a world class event with TotalEnergies Marine Fuels,” he added.
